Anti-dumping Aluminum Tarifs

The Commerce Department has enforced a 78% tariff on aluminum food packaging imported from China retroactively 90 days from 10/22, severely punishing companies that import.

Despite the majority of our aluminum products being made domestically, this tariff could be a catalyst for significant price increases. Distributors who normally import will scramble to get US products, reducing the available inventory in the market. Currently, there have only been a few press releases that state this is happening; however, Price Paper is confident this is a reality, as multiple US manufacturers have been discussing it.

Our US manufacturers have assured us that we will have priority access to products since we have been loyal, long-term customers. In addition, we have plenty of stock in our warehouse and replacement goods on the way. In the event a dire shortage does happen, we will have an uninterrupted supply for those who depend on us at the fairest price possible. Once the initial shock to the market settles out, everything will likely return to normal.
